Birthday stats, humans and not

Published

As I am used to do every year (2016,  2014) here are some stats collected this morning (the morning of my 49th birthday) and counting all wishes received by humans and non-humans.

Birthday wishes received from Humans via Social channels

  • LinkedIn (67 – it was 46 last year)
  • Whatsapp (12 – it was 5 last year)
  • Calls (1 – it was 0 last year)
  • Twitter (1 – it was 0 last year)
  • Skype (0 – it was 5 last year)
  • Email (0 – it was 4 last year)

Which gives a clear indication about how things are evolving in term of social and communication. It’s also true that social stats are based on age and presence. I am not expecting any wishes coming from Snapchat or Musical.ly, just to put things in the right perspective.

Non-humans who have contacted me for wishing happy birthday

  • 1 company via LinkedIn
  • TripIt
  • Boggi Milano stores
  • The tax advisor institution in Italy (2nd year in a row)
  • The Efteling Park in the Netherlands (2nd year in a row)
  • My University
  • Iberostar Hotel & Resorts
  • David Clulow opticians
